I've always loved flowers, all flowers, from the perfect blooms from the florist to the wild flowers growing by the riverbank, every single one has it's own beauty.  If I have trouble sleeping at night I imagine myself lying in a field of daisies. Unfortunately when cut, the joy they give has a short timespan.  I wanted to create something lasting using the beauty of the flowers in unique ways.  I started with the flower alphabet which were created to give as gifts for children and babies rooms but also became popular as wedding and bridesmaids gifts.  I then went on from there, wanting to cater to all ages, the monochrome alphabet is an exciting modern variation of the flower alphabet. The pressed flower hanging pictures and squares are perfect for everyone but I envisaged them being a special gift for an elderly person who, like me, has loved gardening all their lives but no longer can have one.  I used to nurse the elderly and loved seeing their eyes light up when given flowers. The desk ornaments are a perfect gift for workmates and the floral greetings a small but meaningful gift for everyone, especially school teachers.  The botanical specimen frames are a beautiful decor statement.  All the flowers and plants are gathered from my garden or surroundings areas of the Hutt Valley.
